Even a minor fender bender can majorly impact your life.

At Kirmac, we know you need your vehicle to live your life. That's why we go the extra kilometre to get you safely back on the road as swiftly as possible. But Kirmac is about much more than repairing dents and replacing glass. We're about caring for things that can't be replaced, like people, family, and community.

Our Story

Looking back, we can see how much has changed.

73

Before 1973, collision repair shops were dirty and disorganized. Working conditions were poor. And customer service wasn't much better. That gave our founders, brothers Ian and Ken McIntosh, an idea. They began asking themselves why professionalism and customer service were almost non-existent in the auto body industry. Could the right people and a caring attitude turn a bad day into a good experience? They thought so. And that is when the Kirmac journey began.

Ryanne Underwood

Customer Experience Manager

5A Ryanne Underwood

Ryanne started as a customer service rep and now leads our entire customer service team. She delights in delighting customers. That makes sense since she is, in a word, delightful. Other words we'd use to describe Ryanne include hard-working, hyper-organized, and a star! When Ryanne isn't at work, she enjoys caring for her pets, painting, poetry, and belting out karaoke with her lucky husband and a tight-knit group of friends she considers family.

Jason Nguyen

Repair Training Specialist

9B Jason Nguyen

Jason is a car enthusiast, clean freak, and family man whose wife and two sons are a daily source of pride and inspiration. His almost maniacal fondness for cars and calm demeanour has led Jason on a journey from repair technician to expert trainer. When he isn't sharing his deep wisdom about nearly everything that moves, you'll likely find Jason deep-cleaning anything that doesn't.

Devin Sharma

Senior HR Manager

Devin Sharma alt

The consummate people person, Devin, has a knack for striking up conversations with anyone anywhere. Whether savoring a bottle of wine with his talented wife at a Trattoria in Chianti or strolling with his charming dog Archie, Devin effortlessly forges connections with those who cross his path. Devin makes friends easily. He also makes the challenging task of leading Kirmac's HR department look easy. If you meet Devin, don't hesitate to say hello. It might be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Mark McIntosh

Vice President, Operations

3B Mark McIntosh

As the head of operations, Mark ensures Kirmac runs like a well-oiled machine. He grew up in the family business and has worked at every location and role (except technician). Not one to be idle, Mark enjoys playing hockey and golf, camping, boating, racing cars, coaching hockey, cheering on his two sons during lacrosse matches, and crisscrossing the globe, collecting wine with his wife. When he’s not helping steer Kirmac to green pastures, he’s looking for any excuse to hop on his tractor and tend to his lawn.

Jeff Mackay

Director of Finance

8A Jeff Mackay

When he isn't channelling his inner athlete at the hockey rink, ski slopes, or tennis court, Jeff runs the finance department here at Kirmac. He has his CPA and CMA accounting designation and a diploma in business administration from Okanagan University. But he's much more than a numbers guy; he's a devoted husband and father of two sons, a caring mentor, a ride-or-die Steelers fan, and the heart and soul of our finance team.

John Kerschbaum

CFO Extraordinaire

7A John Kerschbaum

Meet John, our OG number-cruncher and a man of many talents. Outdoor enthusiast, home improvement guru, Sudoku master, Excel savant, and sous chef to his incredible wife. John is a proud father to four thriving adult children. And, though he is not a pro golfer (yet), finance is his game! He has played a pivotal role in Kirmac's success and is the unsung hero of our generational transition.

Javid Subedar

Regional Manager

Javid Subedar alt

Javid is a problem solver, a family man who cherishes his wife and daughter, and an MMA superfan who practices Muay Thai. Javid joined Kirmac as a repair tech and climbed the ranks to a management position through a winning combination of hard work, determination, and training. Like his favourite MMA fighters, Javid is always prepared to help his team confront the next round of challenges.

Elisa Alexis

Director of Information Technology

2A Elisa Alexis

Our resident tech guru, Elisa, leads the IT team at Kirmac. But she's more than a tech whiz with a degree in Information Technology. She balances her fondness for all things one and zero with her love for fast cars, good food, and country music. Yeehaw! When Elisa isn't using creativity to make problems go away, you'll find her making memories with her husband and their two buckaroos.

Scott Chen

Business Development Manager

4B Scott Chen

Scott (fast-twitch) Chen is a family man, fitness enthusiast, and UFC fan responsible for nurturing Kirmac's relationships with our commercial partners. Scott started with Kirmac as an apprentice and rose rapidly through the ranks. But climbing the corporate ladder isn't the only thing Scott does quickly. He has been undefeated since childhood in games requiring him to press a single button repeatedly. When Scott isn't looking after customers or humbling rivals at Sonic the Hedgehog, you will find him chilling at home with his beautiful wife and two daughters.

Jeff Chong

Regional Manager

Jeff Chong alt

Want to know what makes Jeff tick? You don't have to look much further than his fascination with watches. Jeff loves craftsmanship, precision, and spending time with his supportive wife and three spirited sons. When he isn't with his family or fine-tuning operations here at Kirmac, Jeff spends every spare second researching watches. Perhaps that's why his teams always run like clockwork.

Sean McIntosh

President

1B Sean McIntosh

To say that Sean is a motorhead is a blatant understatement. Our head honcho, the eldest of the second generation of McIntoshes to run Kirmac, grew up surrounded by gleaming metal and growling engines. After graduating from BCIT and before settling into the pole position at Kirmac, Sean raced cars worldwide on Formula 1 tracks like Monaco, Spa, and Nurburgring. Sean and his incredible wife still move at top speed to keep up with their three spirited daughters. But when they need to slow down, they enjoy hiking with their dog and family camping trips.

We're looking forward to the road ahead.

We know the road ahead won't always be smooth. But now, with the second generation of our family in the driver's seat, we're looking forward to the next 50 years.
